A rollator is a walker with wheels and a seat. The seat is the point — it turns “how far can I walk” into “how far until I want to sit down”, which is a different and much larger number.
Before you choose a rollator
- Seat height matters more than weight. If your knees sit above your hips, standing back up is a fight. Measure from the floor to the back of your knee.
- Wheel size decides where you can go. Six-inch wheels are for smooth indoor floors; eight inches and up handle sidewalks, grass and gravel.
- Check the weight capacity against the SEAT, not the frame. They are often rated differently, and the seat is the lower number.
